- The dialogues were recorded during the week of October 24th - October 31st 1949. The songs were recorded on November 18th, December 2nd, and December 8th, 1949. The mixing was completed on November 7th, 1950.
- This dub (along with Alice in Wonderland), are the oldest Dutch dubs still being used today.
- For the 1970 and 1981 re-release, the film's title was changed to the original Dumbo with the subtitle "Het Vliegende Olifanje." The official title was changed back to Dombo starting with the 1980s rental VHS release.
- The full cast was never made available to the public. Even Otto Krooshof's data sheet only reveals some of the characters voices.
