Trivia :

  • Premiere : 11/29/1990 (First dubbing)
  • Re-release : 07/09/1998 (Second dubbing)
  • There are two German dubs of this film. The first from 1990 and the second from 1998. 
  • The redub is infamous among fans for being the worst German redub Disney has done. The translation was trashed because of the questionable translation and casting choices.
  • Sales for the 2006 Platinum Edition DVD were disastrous because the original 1990 dub was not included on the DVD.
  • Fans petitioned to get the 1990 dub on the next release and succeeded. The German 1990 dub is available on the German 2013 Blu-Ray and DVD releases in Dolby Surround with 2.0 mixing. Though on the cover it's advertised being from 1989, when in actuality, it was recorded in 1990.
  • While the German 1990 credits are included on Disney+, the dub itself is not. Instead, its the 1998 version that is presented instead.
  • Of the two dubs, only Beate Hasneau reprised her role as Ursula.
  •
