Trivia :

  • Premiere : 12/??/1948 (English version with Dutch subtitles)
  • ​Re-release : 10/??/1978 (original dubbing)
  • Re-release : 06/30/1993 (partial redubbing)
  • Unlike the other 1940s Disney films, Bambi was not dubbed into Dutch in the 1940s.
  • In the De Volkskrant newspaper, there was a claim made that a Dutch dubbing was made at Filmstudio Profilti during 1948. However there were no verified showings of a Dutch dubbing during the original 1948 release.
  • When Bambi was re-released in 1993, some of the voices were redubbed with different actors. The voice actors for Bambi, Thumper, Flower, and Young Faline are the same 1978 dubbing recording but voice actors for Adult Faline, Bambi's Mother, The Great Prince of the Forest, Friend Owl, and Thumper's Mother were changed. This partial redub is available on all official home video releases of the film in Dutch.
