  • Re-release : 07/24/1993
  • There are two dubs of this film. The first from 1943 and the second from 1986.
  • The first dub was the only 1943 version to translate the songs (the others left the songs in English.)
  • Ivar Kåge, born in 1882, (The Great Prince of the Forest) is born earliest of all people in Sweden who have voice acted in a Disney movie.
  • The second dub was done in 1986 for the cinema re-issue and is used on all home media releases.
  • The only exception is the original 1994 VHS which used the original 1943 version as the result of an error. Approximately 60% of the 1994 VHSes have the 1943 dub. The later releases of the 1994 VHS were shipped out with the 1986 dub.
  • Regardless, the credits from the 1994 VHS are from the 1986 redubbing.
  • To tell if you have the 1994 rental VHS, look for the phrase "Kassetten får endast uthyras-försäljas av den" and the number "S-93-560" on the back of the box. The sale VHSes have the phrase "Kassetten får endast försäljas" and the number "S-93-166" on the back of the box.
