Trivia :

  • Premiere in Brazil : 03/12/1951

  • The voices of the mice and the Grand Duke were recorded in the USA as they needed to change the pitch of the mice. Walt Disney invited Aloysio de Oliveira as well as his band (Bando da Lua) that was making shows in the USA at the time to sing for the mice. Aloysio was also the voice of the Grand Duke as both Gilberto and Walt Disney liked his voice for the character.
  • The American technicians liked the quality of the Brazilian dub as they were mixing it in Brazil and the USA, they couldn't see any difference in the audio quality.
  • Heleninha Costa (Soloist) was also part of the chorus in "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes - Reprise." The reprise is when Cinderella cries before the Fairy Godmother appears.
  • Currently, the 1950 visual credits are lost. Only the "And they lived happily ever after" image has survived from the 1950 version. The credits from the 1992 VHS were also used on the 1999 VHS as well.
  • Simone de Moraes and Jorge Goulart (voices of Cinderella and Prince Charming respectively) issued the rights of their voices for the VHS release. As a result, they are un-credited as they did not agree with Disney releasing their voices on the VHS release.
  • Cinderella is one of the oldest Disney films not to be redubbed into Brazilian Portuguese.
