Trivia :
- Premiere : 09/16/1946 (first dubbing)
- Re-release : 12/02/1972 (premiere of second dubbing)
- Re-release : 04/11/1981 (as Dumbo - den flygande elefanten with Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day)
- Home video premiere : 1985
- Re-release : 04/03/1990
- Premiere of third dubbing : 01/21/1997 (direct-to-video)
- There are three Swedish dubs of this film. The first from 1946, the second from 1972, and the third from 1996.
- The first dubbing was recorded in the USA with Swedish Americans dubbing the characters. This dubbing is lost as it was only shown during the original 1946 run. It's also not in the Swedish archives as it's the 1972 dub that is present. The likely place that it is located is the Walt Disney Archives in California. The only publicly available extract is the song "When I See an Elephant Fly" which was included on a 1995 CD album as an error instead of the 1972 dubbing.
- As it is only a list, it is unclear who the actors in the first dub voiced and only a few names were mentioned in newspaper articles from around the time. Susan McCabe (the daughter of Ruth Langer) was told by her mother that she voiced Mrs. Jumbo, but not having heard the dub herself, she cannot confirm it and is seeking a copy of the first dubbing to finally hear her mother's voice in the film. Her grandmother went to the cinema in Falun, Sweden everyday just to hear her daughter's voice in the film. (Source : Susan McCabe)
- The 1972 dub is available on the 1985 rental VHS, 1991 sale VHS, and was also shown on TV as late as 1996.
- The 1996 dub has received criticism for the changes it made to the Swedish translation as well as the fact that many people believe the 1972 dubbing is the superior version.
- The 1996 dub finished recording in 1996 but wasn't released until 1997.
- Due to an error, the 1946 credits are present on the first DVD release even through the dub itself is the third dub from 1996.
