  • There are two dubs of this film. The first from 1955 and the second from 1989.
  • Olof Thunberg dubbed Trusty in both versions.
  • The original dub was not given an official home media release as the redub came out during the 1989 theatrical re-release and the film was first released on home media in 1989 (for rental only.) The Bella Notte scene from the original dub has been shown on TV since the 1960s as a part of "From All of Us to All of You." During the first few years, the scene was shown in English. Since SvT froze the program in 1983, the program was mainly unchanged since then resulting in the scene in the 1955 dubbing being shown every Christmas.
  • Parts from the original 1955 dub are available on the film's 1975 LP album with new narration from Doreen Denning.
  • The new dub uses the majority of the original dub's script; the songs are nearly identical.
