Trivia :

  • Release date : 03/01/1999
  • Most of the voices from the first film returned for this sequel. The ones that did not return are Johan Schinkler, Rikard Wolff, Peter Rangmar, and Jan Rippe. Peter Rangmar didn't reprise his role as Timon as he died in 1997 of melanoma, Jan Rippe didn't reprise his role as Pumbaa out of respect for Rangmar. They were replaced by Anders Öjebo and Bo Maniette who voiced Timon and Pumbaa in the Timon and Pumbaa TV series.
