Trivia :
- Premiere : Summer 1966 (subtitles)
- Dubbing year : 1976
- This dubbing was produced in 1976 but was released on 05/12/1977.
- The film was not popular during its original premiere likely due to the fact there wasn't a Dutch dubbing.
- The original title of the film was Merlin de Tovenaar.
- This was the first Disney movie to be dubbed into Dutch after Sleeping Beauty in 1959. This was due to the audience for the Dutch dubbed versions being very low as well as the dubbing process being expensive at the time.
I would like to thank Leo Löfgren-Roberts for contributing his materials for this entry ! :)
