Trivia :
- Premiere : 12/31/1940 (Capitol & Kranggan) (Subtitled)

- There are two Dutch dubs. The first from 1948 and the second from 1995.
- Unlike Snow White (which was dubbed into Dutch for its 1938 premiere), Pinocchio started recording its Dutch dubbing nearly eight years after its original 1940 premiere. This was due to WWII, which made it difficult to promote the film in Europe and Asia at the time. The original Dutch release was subtitled instead.
- The first dubbing started recording from March 1948 and finished recording in April 1948. The film premiered with the Dutch dubbing in 1949.
- The first dubbing was only released to movie theaters and is available on the 1987 rental VHS release.
- The cinema screenings called the film by its original English title (Pinocchio.) The film was called Pinokkio starting with the 1995 VHS release.
- In the first dub, Jiminy Cricket was called Jiminé de krekel. In the second dub, he was renamed to Japie Krekel.
- The first VHS with the first Dutch dubbing was only produced for rental stores meaning tracking down a copy is extremely difficult as they were produced in limited quantities.
- The second dubbing was made directly for home video starting with for the sale VHS released in 1995. It is available on all releases onwards which includes the DVDs and Blu-Ray.
- Cruys Voorbergh was the director and translator of the first dub and he also voiced Jiminy Cricket.
- Frits Waterman was twelve years old when he voiced Pinocchio in the first dub.
