  • There are two full dubs of this film. The first from 1938 and the second from 1984.
  • The Dutch and German 1938 dubs were recorded with Oscar van Leer's equipment from Associated Acoustics. The sound quality was 40% better than the original English version. Oscar was revolutionary in the sound branch.
  • It took 6 weeks to record the 1938 Dutch dubbing. It started in March and ended in June 1938.
  • - 120 voice over artists auditioned for the roles.
  • The Dutch dubbing of the movie premiered on November 11, 1938 for people over 14 years old. On October 3rd, 1939, they censored some scenes and then the movie was allowed to be shown to all ages. When the original English version was shown in March it was allowed to all ages, and they didn't censor the print. 95% of the first Dutch dubbing was found, the scenes missing are the censored scenes (the majority of which belonging to the Witch.)
  • Frieda Ella van Hessen was longest surviving voice of all the 1938 dubs. She was 106 when she died and she lived in North Carolina, USA.
  • Frieda was invited by Max Tak to voice Snow White after a performance. According to her, she was voted the best musical version in Europe.
  • For the 1984 version, Harrie Geelen got two prints of Snow White to help in the dub, the original English version and the Dutch 1938 version. He didn't check the dubbed print, because he wanted to write the lyrics and the dialogues without interference from previous dubbing. He watched the 1938 version after he finished his work.
  • The movie was partially redubbed for the first VHS release in 1994. "Heigh-Ho" was redubbed too.
  • Several of the characters were redubbed in 1990 while the others kept the 1984 version.
  • For the 1994 VHS, several parts of "I'm Wishing" were replaced. In the original 1984 version, they used the Latin Spanish 1964 dubbing for the humming at the beginning of the song and Bernadette Kraakman dubbed the "ah ah ah" part. In the 1994 VHS release, all of these were changed to the original English version.
