Trivia :

  • There are two dubs of this film. The first from 1938 and the second from 1982.
  • The first dub was thought to be lost for many years until it was discovered in 2018.
  • The second dub was not redubbed for the home media release and is still being used today.
  • There are missing texts from the 1994 VHS. These include the witch's spell books (and antidote) and the "so beautiful in death..." slides. Why is this is the case is unknown. These texts are included on the 2001 Platinum Edition DVD. Neither of these versions have the credits from the Danish 1982 version though, there are included on the 2009 Diamond Edition Blu-Ray release.
