• Premiere : 03/08/1996
• The dubbing was recorded during Autumn 1995. 
• Woody was Björn Skifs' first dubbing role.
• According to dubbing director Mikael Roupé, Tomas von Brömssen was the first choice to dub Woody but Björn Skifs was ultimately chosen. Source
• Björn's lines as Woody were recorded in Stockholm while the rest of the characters were recorded in Copenhagen.
• Björn mentioned that Tom Hanks had been his favorite actor for a long time and that he considered it a honor to dub him, he also mentions that he found it challenging. (source : Expressen 03/07/1996)
• ​The Swedish and Danish dubs were recorded in the same studio. Some of the technical crew also appeared behind the scenes in both dubs, Mikael Roupé (director) was the musical director in the Danish dub along with Søren Launbjerg, Diresh Mirchandani (Sound Recorder - Songs) was the sound recorder for both dialogue and songs in the Danish dub, Brian Christiansen and Benni Boss (Mixers) also mixed the Danish dub, Svend Christiansen was also the producer for both the Swedish and Danish dubs.
• Mikael Roupé was in attendance at the Swedish Cinema premiere in Stockholm along with John Lasseter (the films director and head of Pixar) and Ralph Guggenheim (one of the films producers.) Both were overjoyed, they thought it was really good. Lasseter and Guggenheim were able to attend as Sweden had the first premiere in Europe. The three of them sat at a table on a stage at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm and then all the journalists arrived. Mikael sat with his hands clasped in front of him and was very nervous as he got sweaty palms. Cult journalist Nils-Petter Sundgren sat in the audience and asked Mikael if it was difficult to translate the film into Swedish ? Mikael told him, "Yes !" Source
• Two music stories where available containing dialogue from the dubbing, one shorter version that came with a read along book and a longer version that didn't come with a book, both of these were narrated by Dan Bratt, these were available on both CD and cassette.
• In an interview, Mikael Roupé discussed the difficulties of dubbing Toy Story into Swedish. Normally at the time, KM Studios had the contract to dub Disney animated films into Swedish. However, seeing as Toy Story was a computer animated feature film, it was given to Sun Studio Copenhagen as an experiment. Unlike traditionally animated features, where the dubbing process started when the final animation was completed, Toy Story was sent unfinished. Meaning that the models would slide instead of move. As a result, the process had to be done by dubbing by sound and not by picture. Roupé was given free reins for the script translation and casting choices. The most important of these casting choices being the two main leads, choosing Björn Skifs as Woody and Fredrik Dolk as Buzz Lightyear. (source : Interview with Mikael Roupé)

• Fredrik Dolk recounted how he got the role of Buzz Lightyear in an interview. According to him, Mikael Roupé was unhappy with the actor originally chosen by Disney. Believing that the approval process would take long in Los Angeles, Roupé decided to submit an alternative on very short notice. So he called Dolk to come to Copenhagen to record a test for six hours, which was sent to the United States for approval with a note saying, "this is my favorite." Dolk was ultimately chosen by Disney as a result. (sources : Interview with Fredrik Dolk) and (Interview with Mikael Roupé)
